Voltage waveform extension for DO160 current coupler

Option-V is an extension to the well established EMC PARTNER DO160 test suite, used to enhance existing capability by adding voltage coupling of waveforms 4 and 5A for DO160 and Airbus ABD 0100.1.2 standards. Option-V, together with the corresponding impulse generators, is used for functional upset testing. Impulses can be applied either as ground injection or cable induced waveforms. Galvanic de-coupling prevents current from aircraft electrical supplies entering the impulse generators.

Option-V can be used to test DO160 level 3 and Airbus Category A.

This easy to use extension set, adds new test capability for existing users of EMC PARTNER test equipment.

Composite aircraft Voltage coupling with CN-GI-CI-V

CN-GI-CI-V is an extension to the well established EMC Partner DO160 test suite, used to enhance existing capability by adding voltage coupling of waveforms 4, 5A and 5B in accordance with the Boeing D6-10605 standards. CN-GI-CI-V, together with the corresponding impulse generators, provides an inductive coupling path for induced transient susceptibility testing. Impulses can be applied either as ground injection or cable induced waveforms. Galvanic de-coupling prevents current from aircraft electrical supplies entering the impulse generators.

CN-GI-CI-V can be applied up to and including Boeing Landing gear tests.

Blocking Devices and Bypass Circuitry for Power PIN testing

PIN injection can be applied to cable bundles with vastly differing characteristics. Some pins may be passive while others are connected to power supplies or signal interfaces. Blocking devices between the generator and EUT, reduce loading effects of the impulse generator on signal or power lines and prevents currents from entering the impulse generator.

Applying indirect lightning pulses to an active system supplied by AC or DC voltages also requires a bypass circuit across the supply to reduce effects on the waveform. EMC PARTNER have assembled a selection of clamping diodes and MOVs appropriate to this application.

MIL-STD-461E Verification Jig

MIL-STD-461E defines use of a calibration fixture for verification of the CS115 and CS116 waveforms. VERI-MIL2 is an enhancement to the existing EMC PARTNER MIG2000-6 system which enables placement of both the high and low frequency coupling clamps while maintaining the system impedance. Terminated at both ends with combined 50ohm load and attenuators, VERI-MIL2 is a quick and easy verification across the frequency range 10kHz to 100MHz.
