Power Voltage DIP and Variation per IEC 61000-4-9
PQF --- Power Quality Failure
Version : 21.03.03 , based on 61000-4-11:1994
EMC-Partner Generator : TRA2000
1. General
Testing take place in climatic specification as follows:
Ambient temperature :
15°C to
35°C
Relative Humidity :
25% to 75%
Atmospheric Pressure :
86kPa (860 mbar)
to 106kPa (1060 mbar)
Other values may be specified in the test specification.
- IEC 61000-4-9 requires the generator be capable of supplying peak inrush currents of up
to 500A for 220V to 240V mains, and up to 250A for 100V to 120V mains. The Transient-2000
is designed to meet this levels, however , due to building wiring capabilities, the
test-site may not meet the requirements.
The peak inrush current should be measured at the test-site, using the circuit and method
described in the Waveform Verification section of IEC 61000-4-9.
If the test-site meets the inrush current requirements, it is not necessairy to measure
the EUT peak inrush current while testing.
If the test-site does not meet the inrush current requirements, the test can still be
performed as long as the EUT inrush current is less than the peak inrush current of the
test-site. In this case it is necessairy to measure the EUT inrush current while testing.
