IMU SLAVE SMART V1I1 includes CW and MODULATED disturbance source, CDN for VOLTAGE circuits, REFERENCE meter connections INCLUDING decoupling on current circuit.

New ideas and new technologies are constantly probing the frontiers of engineering. The pace of change often exceeds understanding of potential issues and regulation. DIFFERENTIAL MODE disturbance of mains power lines is one example. Increasing use of MAINS SIGNALLING to control or gather data is a new disturbance source.

Regulation is coming to the rescue in the form of IEC 61000-4-19 basic standard to test in the frequency range 2kHz to 150kHz. Electricity meters are particularly vulnerable, to signalling on the current circuit with potential to generate measurement error.
