Lightning Voltages - Defence Testing

The Lightning Voltages testing under MIL-STD-461 is critical for assessing the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of military equipment. This test simulates the voltage transients caused by lightning strikes, evaluating the device's immunity to high-voltage surges that can lead to failure or performance issues. By exposing equipment to these simulated lightning voltages, the test ensures reliable operation in extreme conditions. Compliance with MIL-STD-461 strengthens the durability of military systems, providing confidence in their performance and reliability under severe electrical disturbances.
