Varistor Testing

AIRBORNE SYSTEMS

The MIL-STD-461 specification is widely used as a general basis for testing defence electronics. Specifically in relation to airborne systems, requirements have been incorporated from the DO 160 standard. This includes indirect lightning surge impulses applied as multiple stroke and multiple burst. Voltage spike tests with 150 ns duration as defined in MIL-STD-461C are still relevant for testing airborne power systems.

APPLICATION STANDARDS

  • MIL-STD-461
  • MIL-STD-464

MORE OPTIONS & COMFORT

Extend the CS117 impulse system with external couplers to meet waveform 5A voltage impulse requirements from DO-160 section 22. This is applicable when cable shields are removed for testing the core wires.
