Three phase power is used mostly for high current or heavy load applications. The voltages and currents can be in the range up to 690Vac/200A. ESD is a test type used on every product and is incorporated into the CE testing requirements for the European Union (EU). Specifically for three phase equipment with high currents specialist Coupling Decoupling Networks (CDN) are required which can be used for EFT/Burst, Surge and Ringwave impulse tests. Combinng all three into a single unit is a definite advantage in testing efficiency.
Touch panel technology and a mature operator interface in IMU generators are extended for three phase applications by DIPS/Interrupts up to 75A per phase and the all new CDN range up to 200A per phase 690 Vac and 1500 Vdc.
